“Flight” is a carefully curated and produced performing arts production taking place in parks throughout The City of Fairfax. These 6 outdoor performances, to take place in the fall and spring, will highlight women and women identified artists and arts organizations in Fairfax County and the larger Northern VA area. Artistic work will include, music, dance, storytelling, performance art and theater from a variety of genres and cultures. The performances will be nestled into the landscape of three identified parks in The City of Fairfax; Van Dyke Park, Blenheim Historic Park and Ashby Pond Park. The migration of these creative performances will give audiences a sampling of the city’s parks in a non-traditional, accessible setting.
There will also be a Halloween Parade after this performance! Audience members are encouraged to wear their costumes for the parade.
