Scholarship Program
In fulfillment of its mission to provide scholarship opportunities to students who take arts-related courses or earn degrees in the arts at George Mason University, Spotlight on the Arts, Inc. offers following endowed annual scholarships:
Thomas Galen Scott Memorial in Music Education.
A one-time award of $1,500 to an undergraduate music education major.
Spotlight Scholarship for the Arts
A one-time award of $1,500 for an undergraduate in the College of Visual and Performing Arts.
Ruth Haycock Endowed Scholarship in Piano
This will be a one-time award of $3,000 paid in two (2) installments over two (2) years.
Mason Community Arts Academy
A one-time award of $1000.
Fairfax Spotlight on the Arts – Mason and Woods Scholarship for Fairfax High School or Fairfax Academy for Communications and the Arts
A one-time $1,000 award to a high school senior attending either Fairfax Academy or Fairfax High School, studying music, and planning to continue pursuing music in either higher education or a program after graduation. In Honor of John Mason and Jane Woods
Selection of recipients is by the College of Visual and Performing Arts.
