Joyce Byrnes is a pastel artist and instructor in Rockland County, NY. In her paintings, she seeks to convey the light, color and textures she observes in nature and share the beauty she finds outdoors with others.
Joyce has exhibited throughout New York, New Jersey and Connecticut and teaches a pastel painting class at the Clarkstown Community Learning Center in Congers, NY. She is a member of the Nyack Art Collective (NAC), the Pastel Society of America (PSA) and the National Association of Women Artists (NAWA).
She has studied at the Art Students League, Rockland Center for the Arts, and continues to learn from Garnerville artist, Andrew Mollica. As a student, teacher and ever-evolving artist, Joyce hopes to transform the joy she finds outdoors into an experience that can be saved and shared.
