The musicians of the Cathedral Brass of Vienna Presbyterian Church will perform two free concerts on at Blenheim House on Friday, May 14th at 7:00 pm and at Old Town Square on Friday, May 21st at 7:00 pm.
Both concerts will feature three small ensembles. The Brass Quintet and Trombone Quartet will perform classical and popular favorites from around the world. The Garage Band Combo will perform works by Duke Ellington, Alec Wilder, and the rock band “Europe”. These concerts are presented through the generosity of the Fairfax Commission on the Arts.
Founded in 1983 by the Ray and Sharyl Abell, the Cathedral Brass is a large brass and percussion ensemble dedicated to high quality performance of unique sacred and secular music for the enjoyment of the greater Washington, DC community.
